Calendar Wall Art

I've been looking for art to fill my walls without spending a fortune. I came across these calendars on Anthropologie's website for only $21.95. Of course, the one I want doesn't show the pictures, but I don't think Anthropologie will disappoint. I plan to pick a few of my favorites and frame for my home.

The calendar I ordered:
This would be great for the kitchen:

The Vintage Travel is fun, too:

If you love New York, this would be great for you:

Shower Curtain Possibilities

I've seen multiple places featuring colorful shower curtains. I may need to switch out our white ones, which I love, for something more upbeat and energetic. A printed curtain can make a statement, add decoration, add color to neutral walls, and can inexpensively update a room. The August issue of Real Simple displayed 11 stunning shower curtains & hooks. Below are my favorites:

Medallion printed curtain. $40. Bed, Bath, & Beyond
Bright & colorful paisley pattern. $35. Echo Design.
I love the indigo blue floral print of this curtain. $65. Viva Terra.
Can't forget about shower hooks. I usually find them at discount stores (Marshall's, HomeGoods) at a great price. Here are some fun curtain hooks:

These aqua ones would look great against our white curtain. $16 for 12. Gracious Home.
Delicate rose hooks. 15 for $12. Country Porch.
Gold rosebud hooks: $20 for 12. Lenox.

Thank You!

I was away on vacation this past week, which is why there were no posts. My husband finally had a week off and we were able to get away, have a relaxing vacation, and enjoy our time together.

I've gotten a ton of feedback and I wanted to say thank you for reading my blog. I really enjoy writing the posts and sharing my ideas and finds and I am happy you enjoy reading them. Please continue to check back often as I usually post every 2 days.

Luscious Finds at Z Gallerie

Doesn't this bed just look so luscious? I love the curved upholstered headboard. I also love the chandelier above the bed. This room would be nothing short of elegance. I like the white bed frame with the white bedding, but it would look luxurious with any color.

The chandelier makes the room look even more luxurious, but this would also look fantastic over a dining room table.

I am loving this geometric mirror. It would make a statement in any space. Finished in antique gold. Beautiful!!

These candles would add a glamorous touch to any room, especially when in multiples. I'm thinking they would look great as a centerpiece or on silver pillar candle holders (find at Ikea or HomeGoods).

What I Want Now

I am dying for these luscious mirror nightstands for our bedroom. I can already picture what will be on them: a small vase with pretty white flowers, a small bowl to hold jewelry & my Kiehl's lip balm, the current book I am reading, a framed picture of the hubby & I, and my iPhone, of course. Underneath on the shelf will hold a stack of magazines I want to read, but can't keep up with. And, I think that leaving them next to my bed I'll read them one of these days. Even just 1 will be fine for me. My husband doesn't need one on his side. His can wait. I just want one and with my birthday coming up it may be the perfect present to myself!

Hayworth Nightstand from Pier 1, $200.

The nightstand will add to the luxuriousness of our room with our light gray walls, purple curtains, and black furniture. Love it!

Updates at West Elm

The curtains I recently bought (read the post here) at West Elm are now 20% off, as well as all curtains at West Elm. A great time to replace faded curtains (from the sun) or buy new colors for fall.

Cotton Canvas Window Panels:
 Printed Geo Leaf Panels:
Pretty pattern!
 Luxe window panels:
Looks very luxurious & would add richness to any space!

I was at the store today hoping to find a fabulous item on sale, but didn't have any luck. However, I did find Euro shams that I got excited about. I've been looking to complete our bedding with pillows and love the look of the Euro shams against the headboard. They also provide perfect comfort for reading. I also loved some of their pillowcases, especially these:

I love the pin-tuck material. It adds texture to the bedding, which is exactly what I am looking for. I would buy the white to match our white bedding, but the charcoal is luxurious, too!

Another favorite item is this luscious zebra pillow in the light gray. I love the light color and would look good against any color.

California Living

I love anything to do with California so when I saw this post on House Beautiful's website I wanted to share. A beach bungalow filled with bright colors, fun patterns, and lots of surprises. Enjoy!

The house is very white with pops of both green and pink, which is a color theme throughout the house whether it's in the pillows, a tablecloth, the fridge, a flower arrangement, or a throw rug. A very bright and cheerful home!

I love the mix of patterns from the tropical leaf pillows to the geometric rug to the polka dot stools. Lovely!

Love the turquoise bed frame and pops of red and pink in the bedroom:
Love the bold framed mirror and the light pink accent color:
Check out the mini pink fridge!
Unexpected whale patterned wallpaper with a bright lime green dresser. Love the big white knobs!
Small outdoor patio and the house isn't complete without a surfboard!

Home Goods Love

I was back at my favorite home store yesterday, and of course, left with a few good things. I found this luscious wall decor in a mirrored geometric shaped. 2 for $40. I have a couple places these would make a good home. As noted in my sconces post, I would like to use them in pairs (diagonally placed) or 1 on each side of our buffet. Here is my purchase below:

I also was loving their bath section, which was huge! They had such a variety- different colors and in different textures and patterns. Here are some photos:

 3-toned silver accessories:
Love this silver with the imprinted shapes. Reminds me of animal print.
Especially love the tissue holder with the beaded trim:
 Brown & Gold Pebbled:
 Modern white:
Loving the luxurious glass accessories!
Glass soap dish, $12.99. This thing was heavy!
 More traditional pieces:
Wood trash cans- a natural look:
Love these glass canisters. Perfect for cotton balls, q-tips, travel size lotions, etc.
Gotta love the prices too! These would be much more expensive at other stores, such as Restoration Hardware & Crate & Barrel.

Home Goods is a great place to buy complete sets for your bathroom at low prices. However, you can also use select pieces for your vanity (tissue holder and canisters) or the small trash cans in your office or bedroom.

My other purchase- 2 soap dishes:
A white one from the "modern white" collection for our downstairs bathroom. We have a pump, as well, but I wanted a dish to hold regular soap too.
I also bought a bronze soap dish to hold our soap pump at our kitchen sink because so often the soap residue runs down the side of the bottle after using it with nowhere to go but on the counter. It looks good on the new soap dish!

I also spotted this pillow, which reminded me of the pattern I fell in love with at Crate & Barrel for $50 and posted here. This price was much more enticing at only $20 and they are so similar!
This pillow ($25) would make a great floor pillow and also a summery pattern:

I had to add in these lamps because the glass bases are so luxurious and have low price tags ($25-$50):
I love the elegance of this gold lamp with the shallow bowl at the bottom, & only $25!

This coral lamp ($25) reminds me of one I would find at Williams Sonoma Home, but we know how expensive that would be! I love both the red & white and would be a fun accent on any table.

Please feel free to share any favorite purchases of yours at Home Goods. I would love to hear!
