Plated: Meal Service

My sister first told me about a food delivery system where they mail you the ingredients for recipes. She lives in London and this is the first time I had heard about something like this. Then, I saw an advertisement for Plated and it was mentioned on Instagram (Baby Mama Juice). It has gotten great reviews. When it popped up on my Facebook feed for 4 free plates I clicked on it. I decided to try it out and it starts today. Perfect since this is the first day my husband will be home for dinner in weeks. They send you the packaged ingredients, but you will need the basics (olive oil, salt and pepper, etc). Enough for 2 plates. I received a total of 6 plates for only $24 and free shipping. Too good of a deal to pass. And, the recipes sound delicious. Click HERE to try it out (it is a referral link)!

I chose:
Pork Chops with Cider Gravy and Roasted Fennel Salad
Beef and Brussel Sprouts Stir-Fry over Brown Rice
Roasted Quail with Balsamic Quince and Smashed Potatoes

I can either store in my freezer or refrigerator for the week. I think this would be the perfect gift for parents with a new baby! I decided to try it out because I feel like I'm in a cooking rut. I haven't been cooking much and I think it's because my husband has been working so much that it's just the girls and I. He usually picks up dinner out. I will just eat something small usually, but then snack after I put the girls to bed because I'm so hungry. I'm hoping this will be a motivator. It's nothing something I plan to do often and the great thing about Plated is that you are not committed to buying each week. I will let you know tomorrow how we like it!
